Riolu can be evolved into Lucario if you have a high friendship level with this Pokemon. To gain friendship with your Riolu, you can battle with it and have it collect items for you. In addition to having high friendship levels, it needs to be evolved during the daytime.
Riolu's evolution is similar to other evolutions throughout Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Eevee can also be evolved into Umbreon through this tactic. It is common to have to increase friendship levels with your Pokemon, as one of the requests requires you to do it as well. It is not a difficult process to undertake, but it can be a time consuming one. A surefire way to quickly gain friendship is to always have it equipped in your bag, so it can battle at any time.
