Our Warzone Season 3 Reloaded assault rifle tier list is here to break down which of the guns are the best to use in Caldera and Rebirth Island after the launch of Raven Software's latest major balancing update.
With the Season 3 Reloaded patch, we saw a hefty amount of changes made to a handful of options in the weapon class. Ultimately, it appears it's as important of a time as ever to get those meta Vanguard guns unlocked and maxed out as the Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War options took some hits once again. As such, here is how the assault rifles stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 Reloaded.

S Tier
STG44 / Photo courtesy of Ralston Dacanay, Activision- STG44
- Volkssturmgewehr
- Vargo 52
- Automaton
- AS44
- Cooper Carbine
- QBZ-83
- XM4
- Nikita AVT
In the S Tier are nine ARs that remain to be key parts of the meta in Season 3 Reloaded. After nerfing the XM4 further, the STG44 is even more uncontested as the best gun in the weapon class, as well as the entire game. Carrying on the torch for the Black Ops Cold War options, the newly buffed Vargo 52 functions like the pre-nerf XM4, but is even easier to use. Receiving buffs once again, the Volk, AS44 and Cooper Carbine are the best AR sniper support options in the game. Meanwhile, the Automaton, QBZ-83 and Nikita AVT have still translated to high K/D ratios for those using them so feel free to keep rolling them out in your loadouts.
A Tier

- Grav
- AK-47 (BOCW)
- M4A1
- KG M40
- BAR
- FARA 83
- C58
- EM2
- NZ-41
- Itra Burst
- FFAR 1
- Grau 5.56
- Kilo 141
- M13
- Krig 6
- RAM-7
In A Tier are a wide variety of options that are top tier viable and remain generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these ARs are sitting right outside of the main meta, but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. After falling out of the S Tier at the start of Season 3, it appears Raven Software just does not like this gun as the Black Ops Cold War AK-47 received even more nerfs. The Groza and Grav would be more popular sniper support options if it weren't for the S-Tier options above. Meanwhile, the BAR and NZ-41 could perhaps gain some more steam after receiving further buffs.
B Tier
CR-56 AMAX / Image courtesy of Ralston Dacanay, Activision- CR-56 AMAX
- AN-94
- AS VAL
- FAL
- Oden
These weapons in B Tier remain viable, but could still use a slight buff in order for more players to seriously consider using them. Ultimately, some of these are fairly popular still, but just aren't as statistically sound compared to the guns above. Perhaps the most uncalled-for change in the Season 3 Reloaded update, the CR-56 AMAX sort of got nerfed to oblivion, so it seems we won't be seeing them in lobbies again.
C Tier
AK-47 (MW) / Image courtesy of Ralston Dacanay, Activisoin- FR 5.56
- AK-47 (MW)
- FN Scar 17
Whether it's as a long-range or sniper support option, these C Tier rifles are not close to having a place in the meta and definitely need some buffs in Warzone.
